Meet Ashley

Ashley is a rising senior at Northside High School.  She is also a Senior Rep for Kerry Daly Photography!  When I decided to add a Senior Rep program to my business; I reached out to my friend and owner of Art in Motion dance studio, Whitney Rucker.  I asked Whitney if she had any girls who might be interested and sent her the link for the application, to pass along to rising seniors.  (I mean who wouldn't want to be a model, right?)  Whitney said she had the BEST girls and it was not an understatement.  After reviewing Ashley’s application, I decided to call her in for a interview.  This was how I came to meet Ashley.

In addition to being part of a group photoshoot, my senior reps recieve a discount on their own senior session.  When Ashley contacted me regarding her private session, it was no surprise that she wanted one of her locations to be her beloved dance studio. Stating, “I know I want to use my dance studio and maybe the lake.”

In addition to the dance studio; Ashley requested her second location be the lake.  Since Smith Mountain Lake was too far to travel to from the dance studio, we opted for Carvins Cove instead.  A true gem to locals; Carvins Cove offers gorgeous mountain views; wooded trails that follow the shoreline; and even boat rentals if you're interested!  I knew that it was the perfect location for a gorgeous senior session.

The photo to the right was one of my absolute favorites from this session.  A perfect representation of this care free moment in Ashley's life.  The light peeking through the trees; resting on the water and highlighting Ashley's hair and skin; it really is just perfect.    We really lucked out and a boat drove by just as we were taking this picture; giving the water a nice ripple effect; almost like the soft breaks of the ocean on the shore.

Be sure to check out some of my other additional favorites from this session posted below!  Thanks for visiting the blog today! If you're interested in booking a senior session of your own; click here!
